I developed a logo for Cal Poly Advertising (CPAD) with the goal of creating a professional yet approachable identity that could work across both digital and print platforms. The project centered on building a mark that felt polished and credible, while still reflecting the creativity and personality of the club.
The logo uses the typeface Forevs from Oh No Type Co., which I chose for its refined, humanist serif qualities. A major part of the process was exploring how to connect the letterforms into a cohesive mark while maintaining legibility. I wanted to find a balance between clarity and abstraction so the logo would feel distinctive without losing readability.
The final mark feels clean and structured, while still retaining a slightly handwritten character. That balance helped reflect the club’s mix of professionalism and creativity.
This project gave me valuable experience designing for a client and translating brand tone into a visual identity that could function across multiple applications.
