Selected Works - SESLOC Digital Advertisement Series
The goal of this series was to create a collection of graphics for the SESLOC ATM digital screen on Cal Poly San Luis Obispo’s campus, a high-traffic advertising space. These designs needed to speak directly to Cal Poly students, and I was responsible for the ideation and development of eight different campaigns, totaling 28 designs.
An important aspect of this project was creating a strong visual hierarchy. I wanted the type to be legible from a distance, so many of the designs feature large, attention-grabbing text and imagery. In the series highlighting local partnerships, I emphasized store logos that I knew students would recognize immediately.
One of my favorite campaigns, the “break-up” series, was designed to catch students’ attention as they passed by the ATM. It plays on the popular trend of seeing “signs” like “it’s over” or “don’t settle,” using a tongue-in-cheek tone to create excitement around credit unions, something that would not normally catch a student’s attention.
This project also allowed me to expand beyond my role as a graphic designer. I worked within credit union advertising standards and collaborated with members of the marketing team to proofread copy and refine messaging.
