I designed a web tutorial titled The Art Behind the College Dinner Party for a college-aged and young adult audience looking for practical, affordable hosting advice. The concept plays with the contrast between the elegance of a traditional dinner party and the resourcefulness of student life. The project was created in Figma, and all of the writing and photography were created by me.
A major challenge in this project was developing a visual language that felt refined while still grounded in lived experience. I wanted the piece to capture the charm of hosting as a student without making it feel overly polished or out of touch. To do this, I used texture, expressive type, rich color, and large-scale imagery to create a clear narrative structure. These elements helped support the storytelling while reflecting both the beauty and imperfection of casual college gatherings.
This project allowed me to combine web design, art direction, writing, and photography into one cohesive digital experience.
