For this project, I created three executive holiday card concepts, totaling six different designs, to present to the COO of SESLOC. One concept was ultimately selected. It was a great learning experience in developing multiple, distinctly different solutions from the same brief while still keeping the work aligned with the brand. The final presentation shows the range of directions, from more illustrative concepts to photography-based solutions.
One of the main challenges was recognizing my audience and designing a card that could appeal to people celebrating many different kinds of holidays. I wanted the cards to feel festive and thoughtful without leaning too heavily into one specific tradition.
Another important part of the project was finding a typeface that worked with the rest of the SESLOC brand while introducing a little more fun and variation for the holiday season. I also had to create a distinct holiday feel while staying within SESLOC’s established color palette.
Overall, this project pushed me to think more broadly about concept development and showed me how many different visual directions can come from one brief.
