I collaborated with Kian Sheu and Anika Loganathan to design an advocacy campaign centered on the African Wild Dog, a critically endangered species. As a team, we proposed a 5K fundraising event in support of The Painted Dog Conservation, using the campaign to raise both awareness and funding.
Our concept was grounded in research on the species’ environmental and cultural context, with a particular focus on its speed and pack-based behavior. One of the main challenges was balancing factual information with emotional resonance in a way that would motivate people to engage with the cause.
My contributions focused on branding materials, including the event t-shirt, poster, and Instagram layout. In these pieces, I emphasized motion and agility through type and imagery to reflect the energy of the animal and the action-oriented nature of the event.
This project also pushed me beyond creating individual design assets and into campaign thinking. Over the course of several weeks, we developed a full advocacy and fundraising concept, which gave me experience thinking about audience, messaging, and how a visual system can work across multiple touchpoints. It was a valuable opportunity to expand from design into marketing strategy while building a campaign that felt cohesive, purposeful, and engaging.
