Designed a promotional poster and ticket for Amy Sherald: American Sublime at SF MOMA, using provided exhibition text. The goal was to organize dense information while preserving the integrity of Sherald’s painting, which played a central visual role. A key challenge was establishing typographic hierarchy without overpowering the artwork. Early color choices were overly saturated, leading to a refined palette of white and light blue that better supported the tone. Through careful alignment, proportional spacing, and restrained use of bold typography, the final design highlights the quiet strength of Sherald’s work while clearly communicating exhibition details.
